Official FAA learning statement

Recall regulations - submission / revision of Policy and Procedure Manuals

What this means for your checkride

Each certificate holder must prepare and keep current the manual used by flight, ground operations, and management personnel. Each manual page, or the electronic manual, must display the date of last revision so a person can readily identify the current version. Copies and revisions must be furnished to appropriate personnel, crewmembers, and assigned representatives of the Administrator, and holders must keep their copies up to date.

Operators must understand the requirement to revise and distribute the operations manual so all users work from current guidance.

Before your checkride (14 CFR 61.39)

A code on your test report is an area of deficiency. An authorized instructor must review it with you and endorse that review before you take the practical test, and the examiner may revisit it during the oral. Study it until you can explain it out loud, not just recognize the answer.
