Privacy policy.
UPDATED SEPTEMBER 2026
Aviator IQ is operated by Oddly Sunny LLC, a New Jersey company. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect little.
What we collect and why
Most of what Aviator IQ needs to work never leaves your device. The only personal information we hold on our own systems is what you give us when you sign in, buy access, or contact us:
- Account information: your email address, used to sign you in through a one-time link and to tie your access to your account.
- Purchase information: a record that you bought access, which plan, and whether it is still active. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Messages you send us: if you email us, we keep the message so we can reply.
- Analytics: with your consent where consent is required, aggregate usage data that helps us see which pages help. See analytics and consent below.
We collect this to provide the service you asked for, to keep a record of your purchase, to answer you, and to improve the product. We do not use it to build an advertising profile.
Data on your device, and sign-in sync
Your practice progress and readiness score are kept in your browser, on your device, in local storage. They are not sent to us unless you sign in. If you sign in, they can sync to your account so they follow you between devices. If you never sign in, that progress stays on your device and we do not receive it.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives your payment details directly and handles the card data under its own security standards. We receive only a confirmation of the transaction, such as a purchase record and plan type. We never see or store your full card number. See the Stripe privacy policy.
We use Resend to send transactional email: your one-time sign-in link, purchase confirmations, and replies to messages you send us. We do not send marketing email through it, and we do not sell or rent your email address. See the Resend privacy policy.
Analytics, consent, and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages help, in aggregate. It is consent gated. In the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland, and for California residents, analytics stays off until you opt in. Elsewhere it is on by default and you can turn it off at any time. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out.
A single first-party cookie, aiq_consent, remembers your choice. Analytics cookies are set only once analytics is allowed, and are cleared if you switch from allow to decline. You can change your choice at any time in cookie settings.
What we do not do
We do not sell or share your personal information. We do not run third-party advertising. We do not build a profile of you across other sites. We do not use your data for any purpose beyond running Aviator IQ and answering you.
How long we keep it
- Account data: until you ask us to delete it, or after a long period of inactivity.
- Purchase records: as long as needed to support your access and to meet tax and legal obligations.
- Analytics data: retained by Google Analytics under its default retention window.
- On-device data: stays on your device until you clear it or your browser removes it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, export, correct, or delete your account data at any time by writing to hello@aviator-iq.com. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time in cookie settings. Progress kept only in your browser can be cleared from the session settings, or by clearing your browser storage. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; the California section below covers those specifics.
Do not sell or share my personal information (California)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to have it deleted, to correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
Oddly Sunny LLC does not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA and CPRA. We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we do not sell or share it, there is nothing to opt out of on that front, but you can still control the analytics we use.
We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as a valid opt-out request. If your browser sends it, analytics stays off automatically.
To exercise your California rights, you can:
- Turn analytics off at any time in cookie settings (and for California residents analytics stays off until you opt in).
- Email hello@aviator-iq.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Children
Aviator IQ is a study tool for people preparing for FAA airman knowledge tests, and is intended for adults and older teens working toward a certificate. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to hello@aviator-iq.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a significant change we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Aviator IQ after a change means you accept the updated policy.
