Recall regulations - runway requirements

What this means for your checkride

Before beginning any flight, the pilot in command must become familiar with all available information concerning that flight, including the runway lengths at airports of intended use and the applicable takeoff and landing distance information. This ensures the runway available is adequate for the planned operation.

Pilots must know that assessing runway length and takeoff or landing distance is a required part of preflight planning.

A code on your test report is an area of deficiency. An authorized instructor must review it with you and endorse that review before you take the practical test, and the examiner may revisit it during the oral. Study it until you can explain it out loud, not just recognize the answer.
