Official FAA learning statement

Recall regulations - records retention for domestic / flag air carriers

What this means for your checkride

The pilot in command of an airplane in domestic and flag operations must carry to the destination a copy of the completed load manifest, the dispatch release, and the flight plan. The certificate holder must keep copies of these records for at least three months. These records document that each flight was properly planned and released.

Crews and operators must know which flight records must be carried and how long they must be retained in domestic and flag operations.

A code on your test report is an area of deficiency. An authorized instructor must review it with you and endorse that review before you take the practical test, and the examiner may revisit it during the oral. Study it until you can explain it out loud, not just recognize the answer.
