Recall regulations - operational flight plan requirements

What this means for your checkride

When a flight plan is filed, Part 91 specifies the information it must contain. A VFR flight plan must include items such as aircraft identification, type and equipment, and the required route and time information, and an IFR flight plan has its own required information list.

Pilots must know what information a filed flight plan must contain.

Where to study it

Before your checkride (14 CFR 61.39)

A code on your test report is an area of deficiency. An authorized instructor must review it with you and endorse that review before you take the practical test, and the examiner may revisit it during the oral. Study it until you can explain it out loud, not just recognize the answer.
