Recall regulations - fire extinguisher requirements

What this means for your checkride

For airplanes subject to the rule, hand fire extinguishers must be provided for use in crew, passenger, and cargo compartments, with the type and quantity of agent suitable for the kinds of fires likely in that compartment. At least one hand fire extinguisher must be located on or near the flight deck, readily accessible to the flight crew, and additional extinguishers are required in the passenger compartment based on passenger capacity.

Accessible, appropriate extinguishers are essential for responding to an in-flight fire.

A code on your test report is an area of deficiency. An authorized instructor must review it with you and endorse that review before you take the practical test, and the examiner may revisit it during the oral. Study it until you can explain it out loud, not just recognize the answer.
