Minimum Control Speed (VMC)

Also: VMC, Vmc, red line

In a light twin, the slowest speed at which directional control can be kept after the critical engine fails with the good engine at takeoff power; marked by the red radial line.

“This is the minimum flight speed at which a light, twin-engine airplane can be satisfactorily controlled when an engine suddenly becomes inoperative and the remaining engine is at takeoff power.”
